‘IMPROVING WELLBEING
ONE RELATIONSHIP
AT A TIME’
ABOUT US
At Transitions we place relationships at the heart of everything we do, our aim is to ‘improve well-being one relationship at a time’.
We draw on the therapeutic benefits of being in nature and with animals, and promote holistic well-being. We aim to identify and meet the needs of those who attend our sessions so that they feel validated and empowered.
All our work takes place at our outdoor site in Tockwith which offers a safe, supportive and stimulating space, where individuals and groups can engage with activities that facilitate physical, mental or emotional development.

THE SERVICES WE OFFER
ALTERNATIVE PROVISION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
Our team can provide half day sessions for students in KS2, KS3 and KS4.
In our Alternative Provision we provide support for young people who benefit from spending time in a setting outside of mainstream education. Relationships are at the heart of our approach. We support our students to re-engage in life and learning by offering opportunities for connection and nurturing curiosity.

FUNDED ADULT SUPPORT - WELL BEING THROUGH CONNECTION
Our ‘Wellbeing Through Connection’ pathway offers a gentle yet powerful therapeutic experience for adults who are struggling with their mental health or feeling socially isolated.
These equine therapy sessions are fully funded and available to people who live in York and whose financial situation is a barrier to accessing support.

PRIVATE ONE-TO-ONE ADULT SESSIONS
We offer privately funded one-to-one sessions of Equine Therapy, Body Psychotherapy or a combination of these.
These sessions offer an alternative to traditional talking therapies and a truly embodied experience. Our approach is based on the principle that our emotional, mental and physical processes are always connected. These sessions are available for adults who wish to explore issues impacting their daily life or longer-term difficulties which affect their overall wellbeing.
